Evangeline Bossarte, the founder of Adult Living Transitions, views her business as the perfect opportunity to blend
her experiences, skills, and education while giving back to her community.
Evangeline has a Masters Degree
in Project Management (MSPM), has spent a handful of years living in South America and is proud to have served overseas in the U.S.
Army and here at home in the Army Reserves.
It was in second grade at Immaculate Conception when Sister Sylvia Cabrini planted
the seed that has grown to what it is today for Evangeline's love for seniors. Evangeline picked Cecile, an artist just like
her father, as the senior she would visit on her classes' weekly visits to the Colby Manor Nursing Home. Cecile, and later others,
became fixtures at Evangeline's home on holidays when they didn't have family nearby.
While working for Verizon as a Project
Manager in 2001, Evangeline felt called to become a hospice volunteer. Through her work with hospice she found herself repeatedly
running into similar scenarios where seniors had isolated themselves at home because the task of moving was just too much for them.
By mid 2003, she realized that she had a perfect opportunity to use her education and training as a Project Manager and her desire
to be of service. It took a few years to put the plan for Adult Living Transitions into action, but Evangeline is thrilled to
call herself a Senior Project Manager and to be able to give back to her community.
